Style doesn't know heat-free: The summer outfit for gentlemen
Who wouldn't want a perfect summer with bright sunshine, azure skies and holiday temperatures of well over 20 degrees? Sounds like carefree, but at least for us men it has a little catch: the clothes. While the hot weather plays the ladies' cards and unlocks some of the most elegant options the wardrobe has to offer, gentlemen have to ask themselves how to copy it, to move stylishly outdoors on hot summer days, without being noticed primarily by sweat.
An absolutely urgent question, because whether open-air concert, barbecue or company summer party: the season is not stingy with occasions for stylish appearance - and demands the gentlemen year after year a balancing act between comfort and elegance. What is needed is an outfit that is light enough to withstand the heat and at the same time elegant enough to suit the occasion or dress code in question. Which probably sounds more difficult than it really is. But one after the other.
Light summer styles for hot days
The good news: On hot days all gentlemen are in the same boat - and none of them will be particularly eager to spoil the party with a too warm outfit. But because style doesn't know heat-free, a clever compromise solution has to be found, and there is agreement on many loosening in general conventions - for example on the fact that sports cuffs are released in summer and the tie can stay at home on hot days. Which can be a relief.
Basically, you'll refine your summer outfit by wearing only what you feel comfortable with, as always. For the summer months, you can start directly with the fabric: linen is not only an airy, light fabric with a comfortable fit, but also radiates a casual chic that goes wonderfully with the summer ambiance. And of course we've taken precautions to ensure that this is the case: see for yourself the summer suitability of our new linen blazer!
Style for Dynamics: Summer Time is Blazer Time
It should be similarly light and bright under the jacket - which usually pauses over a backrest or a hanger from time to time. That's why you should choose long sleeves for your shirt. To avoid visible (and embarrassing) sweat stains, choose a white shirt.
To the bottom of the jacket, combine a light pair of fabric trousers, matching the colour and material of the jacket, with a hem that can be rolled up above ankle height for cooling. You can replace the formal, high-necked lace-up shoes with our comfortable and wonderfully soft loafers. But make sure you don't shorten your socks too much when your outfit tends towards a suit. The crowning accent is a colourful pocket handkerchief from our range and a combo is ready that works wonderfully not only in a private setting, but also in everyday office life and makes summer time more pleasant for you.
